Red Fort

India Gate
Built during the colonial rule as a war memorial to WWI martyrs, this imposing structure is often compared to the Arc de Triomphe in France. An eternally blazing flame under the arch symbolizes the nation’s tribute to its brave soldiers. India Gate is flanked by lush lawns and well-lit fountains that swarm with picnicking crowds.
Qutub Minar
Qutub Minar is a part of the UNESCO-listed Mehrauli Archeological Park that houses monuments & ruins of the early Delhi sultanates. Built in red & buff sandstone with some marble embellishments on the upper cupolas, this five-storey 73m tower is the world’s tallest brick tower.
Humayun’s Tomb
This brilliant structure in red sandstone & marble is the final resting place of the Mughal Emperor Humayun. Built in Persian architectural style; its impressive domes, arches and Persian gardens with fountains running in the middle; Humayun’s Tomb is believed to be the inspiration for the Taj Mahal.
Raj Ghat
Nestled on the banks of Yamuna, a simple black marble platform on well-maintained greens marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated after his assassination. An eternal flame burns at the spot and the stone wall encircling the area is etched with teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.
