Fort Aguada

Basilica of Bom Jesus
This Roman Catholic Basilica, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, entombs the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier in a glass & silver casket. Often known as the “Apostle-of-the-Indies”, the saint is highly revered and his blessings and curative powers are sought by devotees during the Feast of St. Francis Xavier.
