Hawa Mahal
Dressed in pink sandstone, this five-storied palace was built as a vantage point for the women for the royal household. Its honeycombed façade, sheathed in 953 exquisite lattice windows, is an awe-inspiring sight. Its massive terrace offers stunning views of Jantar Mantar and the City Palace.
City Palacer
This marvelous City Palace, located just behind Hawa Mahal, is the centerpiece of Jaipur city. Built by Raja Jai Singh II in 7132 AD, the palace is still inhabited by his royal descendants. Its brilliant amalgamation of Rajput & Mughal architecture is much evident in its fascinating corridors, sprawling courtyards, and spectacular temples. A part of the palace has been converted to a museum, where you may check out the regal attire, weapons and other artifacts belonging to the royal family.
Amer Fort
The sand-hued bastions of Amer Fort seem to blend into the surrounding hillside in perfect camouflage to add an element of surprise for the invaders. Jantar Mantar
A fine specimen of Maharaja Jai Singh II’s genius, this massive observatory is home to 19 astronomical instruments in masonry, stone & brass, crafted on principles of ancient astronomy to solve celestial riddles.
Albert Hall Museum
Built-in honor of Prince Albert, this palatial building showcases a collection of sculptures, miniature paintings, international art, blue pottery, musical instruments, and a whole lot of other artistic paraphernalia.
